Lego Technic Super-8 Movie Projector

A fully functional Super 8 Movie Projector I built using Lego Technic.
The only non-Lego parts are the lens, the reel spindles and the lamp.
The projector uses just two engines and is fully featured with automatic feeding, 24 fps, fast rewind and 120m reel capabilities. A decent LED flashlight makes it pretty amazingly bright.

Best pilot ever? Helicopter opens bottles, shaves man on-fly in Russia

A life-long Siberian pilot, bored with conventional forms of flight, is breaking some interesting new barriers in aviation with a series of tricks. His first feat was relatively risk free - uncorking a lemonade on-the-fly, boasting that the strong winds added some much needed challenge. After that, he took it up a notch. Here, while flying in circles, he balanced a full glass of water on a spatula, keeping every drop in the cup. And, in a climatic crescendo, gives a clean shave to a nervous volunteer - all without a single nick! It was all filmed by Mikhail Nadimov as a promotion for the 'Lunch and Dinner Rescue Service' delivery company.

Rolling Through the Bay with Scott Weaver: Maker Faire

Scott Weaver has spent the last 35 years painstakingly constructing a replica of the city of San Francisco made of toothpicks! Not only that, but it is also a marble run, allowing ping-pong balls to take various tours through the city. His artwork will be on display in the Tinkering Studio at the Exploratorium until June 19th.
