Libyan presenter waves gun and vows to defend station
A video posted on a social media website shows a presenter from the state-run al-Libiyah television channel waving a gun and saying the channel's staff are prepared to die in defence of the station.
Homebuilt Cathode Ray Tube
This is my first attempt at building a cathode ray tube. I used a Viot VPD3 15 micron pump to evacuate a chamber made using a modified wine bottle. The power supply is a 9kV 30mA NST, the same one that I used in my spark gap Tesla coil. The dark band around the center of the tube is caused by sputtering of the electrodes.

St. Louis, Missouri. Donations made during Iron Barley's Tomato Festival on August 14th, 2011 went to Corporal Todd Nicely (Todd lost his arms and legs in Afghanistan) and the Lift for Life Gym. The Iron Barley (known for their Man vs. Food episode) accomplished the task of creating the Worlds Largest BLT Sandwich for the Worlds Record Academy. The size was 224 FEET, 3 Inches!
